Pallavi Kache, Ph.D., M.P.H.

Epidemiologist, Trachoma Control Program

Pallavi Kache is an epidemiologist and research scientist with the Trachoma Control Program, where she works with in-country staff to conduct population-level trachoma impact surveys, geospatial and environmental modeling, and mixed-methods operational research.聽Kache is a disease鈥痚cologist and infectious disease epidemiologist with聽expertise聽in waterborne, vector-borne, and zoonotic diseases.鈥疨rior to joining 麻豆国产,聽she聽was a “disease detective” with CDC’s Epidemic Intelligence Service, working in the Waterborne Disease Prevention Branch. She holds a Master of Public Health and a聽doctorate聽in聽ecology and聽evolutionary聽biology from Columbia University, where she studied socioecological drivers of tick and mosquito-borne diseases.聽While pursuing her doctorate, Kache conducted field-based research in Colombia, South America, as聽a Fulbright Scholar. She聽also holds a聽bachelor鈥檚 degree聽in聽public聽health from the University of Texas at Austin, with a concentration in聽social and聽behavioral聽sciences.
